Central Connecticut, Colgate, Holy Cross, Merrimack, New Haven, Sacred Heart, Stonehill (2025)

Some more New England FCS uniforms from the 2025 season. A few random notes:

  • Sacred Heart's alternate "Pios" logo, used for 2024's star-spangled helmets, became the base helmet logo in 2025.. (A shame, as there was nothing wrong with the "SHU" logo.) The Pioneers also broke out the 1990s hiking pioneer logo (an obvious paean to Pat Patriot) for a couple late-season games. The logo also was used on occasion in 2019. After a couple years of independence, SHU joins to Coastal Athletic Association for 2026.
  • Merrimack ditched its navy blue shirts and made yellow the primary home color. The Warriors also ditched Under Armour for New Balance. (As a Maine alum, I say welcome aboard!)
  • Holy Cross' shield logo, which replaced the big "HC" logo on the purple helmets in 2024, was added to the white helmets in '25. (Again, a shame, as the big "HC" logo was a classic to these fading eyes.)
  • Colgate also added a shield logo to its helmets. Must be something in the Patriot League water. The logo is even tinier than Maine's.
  • New Haven joined the Division I ranks in 2025 and added a Northeast Conference logo patch to two of its three jerseys (sorry, yellow).

And now, the uniforms:

CAA (2025)

Next up for the uniforms of 2025 are New England's representatives in the Coastal Athletic Association, or as I like to call it, the Crumbling Athletic Association, since teams seem to be leaving left and right, usually for the Patriot League (William & Mary, Villanova, Richmond) or FBS (James Madison, Delaware). Hey, UMass, you can always come home. ...

Sacred Heart will join the league in 2026.

All four teams covered here didn't change their look much from last year, although I wonder why Maine doesn't wear its light blue alternates when the Black Bears recruits always wear them on social media.
