Princeton Tigers (1993, 1995-97)



There’s really not much to say about this look, but it is a neat continuation of the Tigers’ “classic” look of the 1950s-60s, minus the gray pants and black helmet numbers they wore in the days of Cosmo Iacavazzi and Charlie Gogolak. What’s odd is that Princeton went so long with inconsistent pants striping (the difference is minute, but it’s there). Manufacturer’s logos appeared the final year: Russell made the jerseys (well, at least the roads) and Wilson handled the pants. In 1998, the Tigers took the field in brand-new Princeton University Stadium wearing new Nike duds.
You’ll notice the 1994 season is skipped. Why? Tune in later this week …
